/- Wires in the front/back doors of 91 Explorer
I've been installing new speakers (doors) in my '91 Explorer, but I can't seem to find out which wire is positive and which is negative. I know that I SHOULD be able to tell because of phase switching of the speakers, but I can't.
I'm thinking that I've got it wrong, but I'm not sure. On the driver's side front door the two colors are Blue and Orange and on the passenger side the colors are Green and white.
Any help would be greatly appreciated -- even if it's pointing me in the right direction as to where else to find the answer.
Thanks,
Jason B. Jolly
p.s. -- Oh, by the way, my local Ford dealer doesn't have the answer. (suprise.....)

I have always known, most of the time, the positive is usually the DARKER wire,in this case, blue & green. The BRIGHTER wire is negative. You can also apply voltage to a speaker with a 1.5 volt flashlight battery, when ever the cone moves forward, the term that the pos. is hooked to is the positive. If the cone moves back at first ,reverse the battery & double check.
