Just bought an 04 f150 2wd auto with the 4.6. Never owned a mod before don't know too much about them (where'd the pushrods go?)
Truck has 49k and runs and drives great, no ticks leaks smoke etc good oil preassure on the stock gauge. Going to be using the truck as a daily driver occasional light towing.

From what I've been reading looks like I'll be doing the plugs soon just to be sure.

Trans code is an A, which tranny is this? OD auto but which one?

Axle code B6?

What kind of things should I be on top of mtnce wise, what to watch for etc? Any and all info appreciated, thanks, Matt.

 

Matt, 49K miles is not a lot of miles for a well taken care of 4.6, change plugs would likely be a good idea. The axle code shows a 3.73 LS , are you sure of the trans code A? Are you sure its not a U code?. I would also suggest changing trans fluid as good measure. Its cheap insurance in my book. I would also invest in a good fuel filter change... thats about all i can see with 49k miles on the clock
