2000-EXPY-Cup Holder (help)

The dual cup holder (located in the dash) has broke where when you push it in to open, it does not open and I had to pry it open.

I think the spring in the back has broken off.
How do I remove the assy from the dash to repair or replace?

Thanks in advance

On the top of the sliding tray at the left and right edges, there is a plastic tab that has to be pushed down. A long thin screwdriver works well because you can slide it in there and just turn it a bit to get the tab to go down just enough.

I wish the heck I could find the ridiculous cupholder assembly that mounts behind the center console.
