76 F-150 Header Help
I am trying to install headers on my 76 Ford 4X4. I am having problems with the passenger side. I have jacked up the engine using my cherry picker & I have removed the starter & I have removed the motor mount. Now I can not figure out how to get it all back in place. Do you have to put the motor mount & the header in as one piece? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you trying to install them from the top or from under the truck? Not sure how this compares to your 4X4 but on my 2wd the pass side goes fairly easily up into place from the bottom with the starter removed. Should be even more room on your 4X4, no crossmember under the engine.

I am trying to put them on from underneath but I had to remove the motor mount to get it on. I already removed the starter per the instructions with the headers. There was no way it was going on with out removing the motor mount & jacking up the engine. The problem is now the header in place I can't get the motor mount back on. Maybe I am just trying to hard to put it together. I am going to tackle it again after vacation. Thanks!
