100,000 miles ah just broke in. Hey its a Ford isnt it. There good for 300,000 miles with no problems. They run forever with proper care. If it was a Dodge or Chevy I would say oh I hope this thing dont konk out on me. With a Ford no worries.
Congrats on the mileage milestone, i'll be doing that in a thousand or so too. It cracks me up when people ask about my truck and say wow nice truck, how many miles and they say thats alot, and i love telling them i can get about 3 or 400,000 miles if i take care of it and their jaw drops, lol. Love making that comment!!!!
Man, thats a new truck. Mines got 192,000 (its a 7.3 idi though) We have many T444E's at work(other name for powerstoke) that have been abused in a big box truck with a UPS driver the dives like he stole it and they have 350,000 miles plus. We have probably 40 of these engines at work. I have run into a coupple hotshoters that have over 400,000 on theirs. My parents 2000 ford crew cab 7.3 is new with only 75,000 miles on it garage kept and the bought it new. They also have a 2005 king ranch f-250 with what, 12,000 miles. They never drive that one. Just let it sit. Told them they better start using it while its under warrenty though. As Someone told me, the body will probably fall apart around the engine.
LOL, that's a nice way to put it, I like that! My rig with 311,000 mi. still pulls one of our stock trailers regularly, if it can't hook to a trailer and earn its keep anytime I want- there's something wrong. Our rigs are always "ready to go", trailer in tow or not, and that's the way I like it! I LOVE my rig....
5.4 with 250K is amazing. Someone knows how to maintain a truck. Good job.
Those 5.4s dont have much power, but they will rack up the miles. I just sold a 99 F250 SD 4x4 w/ a 5.4. She had 212k on her and ran fine. Just had a hard time getting out of her own way!!! LOL!
BTW 100k is just broke in on a psd. I have always felt mine runs as good or better than it ever has w/ 165k on her. Too bad I'm selling it!
Your just getting warmed up,hwy prisoner who post's on here was pushing 700,000 on an 2002 7.3 some time ago, nothing major yet,he haul's RV'S from the MFG'S in Indiana to western Canada, was kind of thinking about him and the HIGH fuel price's,highway, you out there some place, how's the ole girl and you doing?????.
