It shouldn't be any more difficult that the monitor you're going to install,they usually come with a cig lighter adapter. If you want a cleaner install, just hook up an ignition switched power and ground.

it all depends on the style,
i have 2 in my truck.
both get power from a AUX power wire, hard wired into the truck.
but one has plugs for the antena wire to plug in and then the FM modulater plugs into the radio.
the other just transmits the signal to the antena.
but they are very simple to set up, the hardest part about them if finding the signal on the radio (for me atlest, i cant remember what the station is and i cant get to them w/o doing a lot of work so i just have to put in a DVD and start looking for the right sound.)
