shift lever problems

I have a 93 ford f-150 and I cant get it out of park. Any suggestions.

start by checking your brake light fuse
if the fuse is good you can disconnect the lock solenoid by unplugging it
the access to it is at the lower end of the column on the left side

Also check linkages in colum as they come loose and bind. Or a failing shift tube .
