460 serpentine belts question
I have a 1990 motorhome with a fuel injected 460 in it. The engine has two serpentine belts, one for alt, air pump, crank and water pump and another belt for power steering, a/c, crank and water pump. I find it strange that there isn't a spring loaded tensioner on these belts. The alt needs to be loosened and tightened for the one and it looks like the power steering pump needs to be loosened and tightened for the other one to be replaced. There is an idler pulley on the one to the power steering pump but it is not spring loaded. Does this sound normal?
