Ford DVD Remote
I bought a 2006 ford explorer with the factory dvd player its never been used until now the player works good its the remote won't work the unit even after new battery any ideas?

How do you know it's never been used? Maybe there's a reason for that? Cheap batteries in a remote can leak, especially in the hot interior of a vehicle. Take a close look at the battery compartment and see if you find any white chalky residue, that's usually the sign of a battery leak and a toasted remote. You can also take the remote apart and clean out the circuit board contacts with some alcohol. Remotes usally have some tabs that snap together and maybe a screw or two.
