I think the "what if" of some clown not flushing the system after failure is not the question. BD I'm sure your warranty is good as is your trans. If you frequent any diesel forum you know Brian doesn't post or sponsor anywhere (to my knowledge). Some have their opinion on that (other topic).
I don't think anyone can be sure that the trans failed because you were too lazy to flush it or what not. I know Ford says you HAVE TO purchase a new cooler or they might not warranty the trans. IIRC, the reman trans comes with a filter too.
I know my BTS came in a box and his advice was to flush the cooler. There was no way for him to know whether I did or did not flush it since it was done by a mechanic as a side job for cash.
The best warranty is one that is never used. Its very rare to ever hear of a BTS trans that has to go back because it broke.
Whoever makes the trans, if the guy keeps it long enough it will break. BTS, JW, etc, etc. This is why I always say that it is best to get the cheapest trans for what you want to do. If I am going to sell the truck next month but the trans broke today, I'd buy the cheapest trans that works and let it go. OTOH, I plan to keep my truck so I went with BTS since that in the long run, will be the cheapest. I plan to use and abuse the truck. I am not going to granny it from place to place. I will drive it hard. Something that is termed abuse. BTS told me that they don't care why it failed and they will warranty it AFTER the 2 yrs is up with the stipulation that I have to pay for freight. Either way, I pay for the R&R of the trans. Book time is about 2 hrs so I can live with that. If, in 5 yrs it breaks, I know it will cost me the R&R and freight. How? Because other people have had that happen to them and they did the same. So, in that sense, it is the cheapest trans I can buy.
Edit: Who was the guy that Brian sent a new trans to his house in the back of a p/u and they changed it in the owner's driveway, no questions asked?
This was many years ago but nothing has changed at BTS, I assure you!
Mine broke and left me stuck at the Flying J south of Joplin. Came and swapped them out. Cost me dinner for three. Brian didn't mention anything about the four cars on the trailer behind my truck or anything at all about the fact that that tranny (his) had been in the truck for almost four years.
Hey Dave at BD Power, who actually builds this 'our transmission' your pushing here?

Sorry. BTS called and they found that your warranty was expired and you were doing thins that the trans was not designed for. They have authorized me to collect the funds from you for the roadside call and rebuilt trans. Please paypal the money to my account.
