tranny id
ok doke fellas and lady's . i pulled the 3 speed outta my 53 today . i want to replace it with the { t- 98 ?} four gear i got but gotta get some more of the odds and ends . well anyway i got a passenger car 3 gear that is BEAUTIFUL inside . whoever drove the car it was in never scratched a gear and knew what they were doing . im sure from initial inspection they are the same save for tailshaft length , but i need ti id the truck light duty to order the seals etc. i wanna say it's a t-87 but the parts houses only show a t-86 . seeing as my mind is as sharp as a ball pein hammer well ....... the numbers on the case are 12 1A-7006- A on the sleeve / collar on the input shaft are these TAAA7050A . so whilst im wandering the virtual world looking for the info and parts maybe one of ya's already know and can help a fellow moron oopppppppss effie fool out .

from what i've seen i geuss the t-86 is a toploader / heavy three gear ?????
All three are good medium to heavy duty trannies and were the precursor to the T-10 4 speed.
Both Warner Gear and Ford made them and at onetime or another about every car maker used them.
