I'm adding a Pioneer CD deck and new 6.5" door speakers to my 1989 F250 supercab. I'm not into real loud bass (I want to hear/feel it...but don't have the urge to offend my neighbors with it ) and do not want custom enclosures. I'm told the F250s from 1988-1992 did not come with rear speakers. Question: What have you done for the rear seating area that works and still allows room for two kids and their "gear"?
You can get 6"x9" Speaker boxes for your pickup and if you have extended cab put them under the back seat and if it is regular cab they are made to go behind reg cab seats so you are still in luck. THey are like $20 a piece at Wal Mart or any other sound place and have wire hook ups on them.
there are a few options you might try JL Audio(http://www.jlaudio.com) makes a small air space sub woofer and box called the micro sub. you might also try MTX(http://www.mtxaudio.com) they make a bunch of premade boxes for vehicles if they can't help you it dosen't take much to build a box for your self. you may like 6x9's but i think that nothing is as good as a sub
