Oasis Request / VIN information

Does anyone here provide Oasis report information?

I am looking for information on Vin 1FTSW21R18ED34245 . This is a 2008 6.4 F250 with 580 miles. The listing indicates some body repair and vehicle was sold at auction.

Any information on this vehicle is appreciated, including option listing if possible.

Thanks,
Vincent

Thanks for the info. Carfax didn't indicate anything either. The damage reported was on the roof and window.

The e-mail from the dealership selling the vehicle.....
Quote:
I appologize, but I can only answer a few questions because I do not have the original window sticker and my service dept is closed. The build date on the truck is 2-8-08 and the warranty start date is 5-8-08, meaning you would only lose about 2 months on the factory warranty period. It does have the tailgate step reverse sensors, not sure about the rest. I know it doesn't have heated memory seats or the rear camera. It is also eligible for Ford Credit Financing, and does have a clear title. This is a brand new truck, but when there is carrier damage they repair it and send it to the sale, and then we can purchase at a significant savings.
Thanks

I will have to stop by and view the vehicle, I am a bit concerned about purchasing a repaired "new" vehicle.

Thanks again for the report.
Vincent

a64armt,

Just a note, I ran across a similar truck last July. was checking dealerships online and this one popped up as a used truck -08 F350 SC Dually with only 15 miles on it. I called the dealer and found out some info before I went over to look at it. It was indeed an 08 F350 that had some minor damage to the right rear dually fender when it was being unloaded from the transporter.
I drove that truck everywhere, showed it to my wife(over 30 miles away) she loved it!! Talked it over with friends and then got a hold of the dealerhip again to get more info. It was bought by a dealer in Florida, damaged in transit, then fixed and auctioned. My dealership bought it and brought it home(Just outside St. Louis). I was able to track down the original dealership and I actually talked to the guy at the dealers bodyshop that did the repair. Real minor, $1486 in repairs. Turned out the guy was from my hometown, knew where I lived. I ended up putting over 150 miles on it before I pulled the trigger and I couldn't be happier. Listed for $48,685 and I got it for just over $38,000 without any rebates. Got the rest of the full factory warranty. The only thing that I've had done is get a new radiator(JOB 1 truck). I have over 12,000 miles on it and just got back this weekend from a 1,000 mile trip pulling my 10,000 lb. 4 horse trailer. I averaged 11 mpg there and back. I say, do some research and if what you find sounds good... GO FOR IT!!

2008 F350 SC Dually. 6.4 diesel, FX4, PWR Captains chairs, Liftgate step, 4:10LS rearend, reverse sensors, privacy glass, 2 tone paint (White over Dark Shadow Gray), black interior, built in brake controller, Powerfold mirrors, leather pkg, tube steps.

PS. I thought that dealership sounded familiar, my truck was repaired at McCotter Ford-Mercury as well.
I tried to get a hold of Janis Burton back then, but she was out of her office when I called. I was able to get a copy of the original estimate that she wrote up. Pretty minor work!! Saved me a bundle!! When you go look at it, ask your dealer for the estimate from American Road Services Company( the transit company)
My truck was originally bought by Bartow Ford in Bartow, Florida and repaired at McCotter Ford.
McCotter Ford-Mercury's phone # is
1-800-924-8492 or (321)-267-2112, they may be able to hook you up with more info.
