Hey hows it going guys I have a question about vacuum lines I've been a Ford man since the 70's and worked on them for yrs but I bought a 71 F 100
3 yrs ago and the time came to put a good used motor in until I get more $$$$ to finish turning the original 5.0 into a stroker and I started looking closer and found most of the lines missing so I need input on a Diagram.
I have the full 5 vol set of shop manuals from 1971 but it helps only so much.
Vacuum lines on a 71? Well, maybe three of them: vacuum advance on dizzy, possible power brakes and PVC on valve cover. That about covers it I think.
The only other hoses would be heater hoses.
If the motor you installed came from something newer and has MORE vacuum tees, then it usually is just Emission stuff and these trucks don't have any.
I have some of the stuff for the C 4 and some is missing other wise I have Dizzy advance and retard, and the C 4 and the PCV but after looking in the Factory manuals for this baby I realized half the things for tranny vac are missing and I'm not putting any of the puke back on but this is to hold me until I'm done with my other 302
a 30 over stroker with 4340 steel crank,4340 H beam rods,custom ground cam, Twisted
wedge race heads and a high rise tunnel ram with duel 550 edelbrock carbs so this is only a hold me over but I want it right.
Ya, did forget to mention the vacuum modulator line for auto tranny(I don't have any auto trucks). It goes in the back of intake where power brake would hook up to.
