Looking For More Mpg's

I have an '08 screw xlt 150 wb 4x4 5.4 3.55 LS 35.7 gallon gas tank, 8600 miles, only thing I've done is change out the stock generals for 265/70/17 BFG A/T ko tires. Made this change as soon as I left the dealer so never checked mpg with stock tire recent trip of over 520 miles all hwy cruise set 70 mph I got a hair over 16mpg and was pretty happy since the revised mpg from the epa list the truck as 17 mpg on hwy and thats 2 mpg better on the same trip than I ever got from the Hummer H3 I used to own. Recently posted a question about E-fans but only got one response I am considering one but would love more feedback from those who have them.
Bottom line if your getting 18mpg smile and be happy

thats good i wish i got that i got 33 inch tires on mine and i get maybe 15 before i was getting 18 on a good day usually 16-17 and i have a dual exhaust dont notice a difference in mpg though. I have noticed though if I drive really slow and easy I will get crap for gas mileage. Like if I take off slow and do the speed limit or a hair slower. But if I stomp on it and do 60 i will get usually 16 instead of 14-15. weird I know but im not even kidding you I dont understand it

2005 SCREW FX4 with a cap on the back, 87 E10, Edge Evolution on level 2, a few hundred pounds of gear, and about 180 miles of mostly highway driving. I got 17.6 MPG (with calculator)while my Edge said a little over 18 MPG. I'm sure it would have been better, but I did about half a dozen quick hill climbs in 4 low. This was one of my better tanks, my last was 17.2 driving to and from work.
