Cruise control amplifier

Where is the cruise control amplifier located on an 85 F-150? The Chilton manual just says "behind the instrument panel". No pic or further description.
Just looking up from the bottom of the dash I see a "black box" with 2 wires going into the top of it located just between the steering column and the wiper switch.
Is this it?

Hard to say, that could be the delay box for the wipers. See if you can find the tiny wires leading away from the steering column that go to the cruise switches. Maybe you could follow these to the right box. Or follow the wires from the wiper switch, and see if you can find the wiper delay box (if you have this option). If you do not have the delay option, or find another box that is the delay box, then it's a good bet the other box you found is the cruise box.

Just above the gas peddle, on the firewall across from the ECA.
