Problem with my radio
Just replaced my instrument panel lightbulbs and now it seems there is another gremlin that just popped up...
I had to loosen the radio rack and slide it out about an inch or so in order to get the paneling around the instrument panel off for my lightbulb change out. all went great with that and they work fine. However, when i put the key back in and started her up, my radio is now acting funny.
Its the stock radio/sound system in there. When i powered up my radio, it was on the last FM station and same volume as before I started the lightbulb job. now here is the strange part. ther is no display information and none of the buttons, station selectors, or volume ***** work....
I disconnected the neg batt terminal and watied for a while and after reconnection the radio appeared dead. i had a CD so i tried putting that in and it actually started playing the track 1 at the same volume i left before starting the job, but still no display or any button function. I then removed and re-racked the radio checking all the connections on the back and everythign seems secure.
Short of taking it to an audio place for bench testing does anyone have similar experience or ideas for truobleshooting? I only pulled it out a couple inches initially to get the instrument panel free. I was pretty carfull so I'm confident I didnt harm the radio harness at all.
Thanks in advance as always!

After taking a break and having a couple beers (funny how that simple act can adjust your attitude) I went back out to look things over. It turns out that somehow I got the faceplate on the radio askew so that the display and buttons were not woking. All I had to do was realign the faceplate and good to go. Maybe if I drink more beer more of the time life will always go this smooth!
