Another headlight question
Hey guys I got a question/s! What's the reason for changing headlight assy's? I see threads about it all the time; is it for looks, performance,what? I know what ya'll mean when I see "Once you start adding mods you can't stop" So I was wondering if this is something I should add to my future mod list......Then which one should I change to?

some guys like the harley smoke look. others just like the 05-07 headlights and grille for looks. the 05-07 are the best if you want to upgrade to xenon. all of the assys suck for light output with the later ones being the worst in my opinion.

The ones on my 99 were starting to yellow so I put some smoked ones on that I got from ebay.. They look cool but light output was really bad. Put some Sylvania Silverstars in to help, but when I get the money I will go with the Harley lights, much better quality plus they are a 1 piece light.

Thanks guys! So mostly seems like an appearance thing! As far as the syl silverstars go, I was considering them (headlight went out in my Focus & I installed one, man what a difference! Now I need to change the other one!) I recall some company making a plug in harness that is supposed to supply 12v straight to the headlight, they state the headlights only get 10v (something like that). It wasn't a bad price, but I never put a voltmeter on my harness to verify the lower voltage!

Dfuser has them. I installed one on my truck. Made a difference.

Yeah.. I had to do the same thing.. the sylvania silverstars helped but I still couldn't see very well at night.. so I drove to dfuser's garage and he installed it for me.. made a big difference.. if I didn't have the smoked out lights I bet my lights would be really bright!
