Check Engine Light

new cps installed, runs great and haven't had any trouble out of it except for the CEL coming on under HARD acceleration. It's wierd though, it doesn't happen from a dead stop, it's always at low mph....like coming onto the highway from an on-ramp. Anyone else experience this? Cold air intake, 5" straight exhaust, new filter....not real sure what else it could be. Do diesel's have MAF sensors?

When you took your stock air box off, what did you do with the sensor. If it is still on the box take it off and put the plug back on and tiestrap it to something next to your new filter.

Yeah, I agree, get the codes read.

Do you have a chip or tuner? Does the light go out by itself after a few minutes of normal driving? Not doing it from a stop, but setting the light under HARD acceleration getting on the freeway sounds like an overboost code to me.

It could also be an icp code. If he has a tuner it could be calling for more HPOP pressure than it can provide. That is what mine was once I got the OBA, I would still throw a soft code. Since the re-burn by Jody, he dealt with it and no more code.
