Chapter shutter bug

Duane and I where thinking of having a chapter photographer/Picture person. Basic idea being - Have one account somewhere... Then if anyone has a picture, we email/upload/ftp/carrier pigeon or whatever the picture to them and they are resonsable for making sure they get on the site. THis person wouldn't have to be at the events just cordinate pictures, and ensure they are posted.

Then at the christmas party, or other event, we could set up a slide show of the year or certain events ect ect...

Any volenteers??????

I'm definitely out. It takes me half a day just to figure out how to upload a picture, then most of the time it doesn't work. LOL

Hmm. If you can email it you can upload it to your gallary. Same goes for providing links to photobucket. Rollie might be up for it but it seems overkill.

Our thoughts were that if there were several people taking pictures of a particular event then they could be posted at one place.

i say just make a photobucket account and set the pass to something like kansaschapter1

then change the number every so often

If you want Chad I will set up the Photobucket account for us and then type up a tutorial for how to download pics to it and hopefully get it as a sticky for all chapter members to view. The password then would be distributed through pm or email due to the fact that anybody can access this page wheather a registered user or not.

Well it is whatever the group decides it to be... I was hoping for both... Some think it is a good idea, and some think not. Need more posters.

Personally, I think 1 guy tryin to make it to all the g2g's to take pics would be hard to schedule not to mention hard to afford with todays fuel prices. If someone was to volenteer that would be fine but I was thinking more along the lines of a "photo manager" lol. Just set up an e-mail account and we all send our pics to it and upload them to a site like photo bucket that we can all access and link to.
