Well after discovering that I much rather drive my truck (4000 miles since Mar 08) than polish on it, I decide to paint some things on in the engine bay I think that I tried to have to much going on and overthink things but I am very happy on how it turned out, it seems to get with the exterior of the truck. Any opinions or comments would be great.
A before pic is in my gallery. See ya'll somewhere soon.
Rodney--you are a talented man!!
Did you get your new frame ,yet?
oh--yea----is this yblock a 292 and froma 1960? Is it out of a f100? I also would like to know if you have any idea of how many miles were on it? I have it all cleaned up and painted, now. Should trial set it in frame this weekend.

When was the last time you saw Y Block valve covers that looked like that?
Or a Y Block with a dizzy up front?
The covers look awfully familiar...I wonder what they could be?

N.D.---I should have said it differently--I meant that the yblock that I bought off Rodney last month --if it was a 292?
I knew the pic of his truck was not a yblock. My wife even rode in it with him. Sorry for the confusion!!
My back hurts like heck from all the wrenchin on the 56 project---man the pain!! ouch!!!!!!!!!! Bill
Looks good man. Are you still coming up this weekend to the GOODGUYS show? I told Richard you were coming up. I gotta work. Going to try to make your show in August though.

I traded a 455 olds for that motor, I was told that it (292)came out of a 64 f100 1/2 ton whether or not bill couldn't tell you the exact year or the mileage. The shop that the motor came from was Malone Enterprises here in Ardmore, they did the interior for the NSRA giveaway car last year so the source is pretty reliable, but I never ran the numbers.
I spoke with NO LIMIT last week and we are tweaking some finals for the frame. I have had a couple of other business ventures to pop up this week and may put the new frame install on hold or maybe even for sale (cheap) Anyways he wants me to meet him in FT Worth Texas at the Goodguys show there and pick it up. I may do that and check out the adult beverages in the Lone Star state.

Hey Don, we are coming this weekend. We are bringing about 16 rods from Ardmore. I am having buddy picked up my registration Thurs and I will be there early Sat morning. I plan on calling Richard and try to get near ya'll Music City boys and act like somebody, hell whom I kidding I probably be trashy as usual. Hey man make sure ya'll let know the Friday before the show in August and I give ya'll the hookup. We have over 189 preentries already that has never been done. Last year we had 109 and ended up with nearly 500 vehicles. I am thinking a national event maybe the HillBilly nationals (Where the men are men and the sheep are scared). See you soon Don.
I will be going to the Texas Goodguys at Texas Motor Speedway in October..
will bring the green machine, even if the interior is not done.
Sam
I will probably just bring the trailer to get the frame and not my truck, but we will stay in touch and maybe get to meet. I checked out your gallery and love that truck, you did a great job man.
I didn't mind polishing until I got carried away on the Corvette IFS/IRS that I built for my 56 BW project. Here's what it looked like before assembly...
