Rotor question

Dumb question........ I replaced 2 front rotors about 6 months ago. A caliper just hang up on me and warped one out. Does it make more sense to junk the rotor and start over new again or is there a possibility to have a newly used warped rotor turned.......... Rather sound like a moron here than in person........

I would see if it can be resurfaced. My local shop only charges $15 to resurface versus "lots more" for a new one.

"Turning" relates to drum brakes. "Resurfacing" is for disc brakes. ...just some useless trivia.

Thanks. I always say something slightly off in terminology. Luckily it was close enough to be understood.

Conga, thanks.... that's a good idea but the guys at the parts store I go to are pretty good so I really don't want to try to pull one over on them.

As long as it's somewhat possible I'll take them to a shop and see if they'll have success in resurfacing them.

thanks again

I would take them back if they are under warranty the store will get reimbursted from manufacture.
