i have 2000 F-150 with the factory premium cd player, i was curious to see if any one else has had a problem with cd gettin to hot and shutting off, i have an external amp and subs but everything else is stock, it sounds great so i dont want to replace the stock head unit, but after a while it gets hot and cd shuts off, radio will work but not the cd, i have had it replaced once before due to the unit locking up and not workin unless i shut it off.........subs and amp are mtx and the sub enclosure is an mtx thunderform enclosure made specifically for ford standard cab looks like factory made , a great addition to my truck, ..... thnx in advance for your input
