Truck Storage

So after 4 years of ownership & adding over 50,000 miles to the odometer I'm about to retire my truck from daily driving.

I have a 1997 4x4 4.6L Scab with 220,000 miles on it. Between gas, safety, reliability (never been left but feel like I might be pushing my luck), I have decided to buy a new car. A Mitsubishi Lancer to be exact, but I will be keeping my truck. Insurance is actually only $120 more per 6 months for both than just for one.

I will only be driving my truck once a month... maybe... if that. So I'm wondering if there are any good tips for short term storage... I'll probably disconnect the battery... but other than that is there anything to do to make it easier on the ol girl when ever I go to start her back up?

Just thought I'd sum up my time w/ this truck...
Bought 4 years ago w/ 168k on the odo
170k tranny started slipping, replaced with rebuilt one
Starter pinion arm bushing broke, replaced starter
Altenator had "open diode" replaced altenator
Ball Joints destroyed almost to the point of failure.. replaced
Gone through 2 sets rotors in 50k miles.
Cleaned the EGR ports

Other than those 4 things just routine maintenance. Truck still cranks right up, drives great.
Rearend is starting to get a sheen of oil on it, no driping or anything, its just dark now where it used to be light.

I'd run some SeaFoam through her before parking it just to clean it out. Also, keep the gas tank as full as possible as to ward off condensation build-up. Keep the tires out of the sun and do not use any tire shine/conditioner/etc... on them.
