New Member Introduction
<hr style="color: rgb(209, 209, 225);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> Hello everyone. I just purchased a 1997 Club Wagon Chateau with a 7.3 Powerstroke TD.
I have looked over the forums and posts and have found much interesting information.
Should anyone have general suggestions or ideas on what I should look at expect or do to keep the vehicle running well (it has 184K). Is 184K midlife for the PS?
The Club Wagon seems to have been well taken car of. The previous owner had a large folder documenting maintenance. He's changed the oil and filter every 3000 miles. Tranny oil smells new. He recently replaced ball joints & tie rods. (on a test drive the steering need a bit of correction, not sure what that is).
I'm just real enthused about getting this van and hope to contribute as well as learn. I make trips from NY to Fl regularly and am planning a west coast (Utah) excursion this summer.
