Those boxes are physically thinner, I ordered a brand new 72' box from LMC and welded in a 3/16" thick steel sheet instead of the wood strips; anyways little did I know that those boxes and earlier ones are 6" thinner than the 73-79 boxes, I am going to have it cut in half and weld in 6" down the middle of it to make it the proper 54" wide. If you have wide tires with an offset wheel like i do, the wheels stick out 3" wider than they should lol.
