I need a set of motor mounts to bolt a 460cid engine into a 79 F350 dually. Ones from a 73-79 and possible into the 80's will fit. This truck originally had a 300cid 6 cylinder in it. I have a 460cid I salvaged out of a 75 Mercury station wagon that I want to put in it. The original mounts wil not work because of different frame configurations. You well want to make sure that it is not a lincon engine as they use a different motor mount position I heard

 

429/460 blocks are all the same.

He just needs 460 truck mounts as the car mounts won't work.

 

Your right Dennis, I have the set that came out of the Merc, but they won't work. I tried to modify them, It could be done but I don't have the time right now. I could just go to a dealer and buy a new set, but I'm too cheap for that. They want about $200 bucks for them, I only payed $40.00 for the truck, got the station wagon in running order for nothing. I have for sale several Cloud-Rider grill inserts

1 - 2003 or older F150 with the Honeycomb Grill, Classic Winter style mirror stainless. This one was used on a 2002 XLT.

1 - 2004 or newer F150 with the Bar Grill (King Ranch, FX4, STX, XL), Champagne style mirror stainless with bumper insert (no hole for block heater cord). This one was used on a 2004 FX4.

I have a 2005 250 Diesel and it looks as if the vacuum is gone (hvac only to defroster). Anybody know a decent mechanic that could get me sorted out? I will be wanting some floor level heat soon as the weather turns....
