F-350 Problem
I am currently driving through Alaska pulling a 39' 5th wheel trailer with my F 350, 6.0 Powerstroke dually. It is an '06 with 43,000 miles. We are not off to a good start as it broke down early in the trip and had to be towed back to a small town in British Columbia. There, they diagnosed a leaky gasket in the oil pump which allowed the pressure to drop.
That fixed I was back on the road for about 70 miles and the truck started hesitating or missing when ascending grades. I have chosen to continue on hoping to get the truck to Anchorage where there is a larger Ford facility available.
This problem only occurs after the truck has been driving for 40 minutes or more. It only occurs in the range between 1,800 to 2,300 RPM's (speeds of 50 to 60), and only upon acceleration. If I give it more gas it clears, or if I decelerate it will stop as well.
Give this limited range for the problem to occur I have the feeling it will be very hard for the technicians to diagnose. If any of you can suggest what kind of information I might record to take to the Ford facility, or any leads on what type of problem this might be, I would appreciate it.
I have to say, the truck issues are certainly taking some of the joy out of this long anticipated trip through Alaska. Gas prices aren't helping either

Thank you in advance,
Sandy
With that said you need to note the driving conditions that it is happening in. Is it a hesitation or could it be the transmission slipping? Are you in tow/haul mode?
You may also need to check for water in your fuel. If you have a tuner on the truck I would reprogram to stock and leave it that way until after you have the new dealer look at it.
just some quick thoughts.
