Suggest you do a search on FTE. There seems to be a lot of FORD Enthusiasts dissatisifed w/"Throttle Body" & "K&N Cold Air Filter". I got the impression that CLAIMS were many & "advantages" were few. For instance K&N's main "advantages" may be limited to being reusable. I'm presuming you've read about K&N oil contamination?
Is the MAS the same as MAF sensor? This is a sensor that provides an estimate of air mass to the ECU as a basis for computing FI. These hot wire 'instruments' are extremely reliable & accurate. Most likely more would be gained by modifying ECU software using one of the frequently recommended 'tuners'. K&N oil is famous for contaminating the wire.
Also, what kind of "advantages to performance" are you after? These days more Qs are appearing on MPG "advantages". In this case modders go to hot air intake & lean burn.
A performance MAF most likely from a Lightning will only be benificial if you are running a supercharger or turbo. There's no amount of tuning that can take advantage of a bigger MAF in a stock NA engine.
