7.3 + sitting = ??

with the price of diesel my truck has been doing alot of sitting, i only drive it when i need to tow something, is this bad for a 7.3? i have heard that it is bad for a 6.0 to sit longer than a week, but what about out trucks?

Mine does a lot of sitting too. I have not noticed a problem but I too am curious. I figure as long as it goes somewhere at least once every 2 weeks I am good in the summer. In the winter, I do the same but make sure it gets fully warmed up. No BS start to move fluids around and shut off that time of year. I bring her up to temp rolling down the road, even if it is just a run to the beer store.

I think it has more to do with the fuel, use a good additive to keep the diesel up to par and reduce the fungi growth in the tank. I feel for yaa, been taking the wifes expy alot more recently not that it gets any better mileage.

If they sit a really long time they can develop leaks at the up-pipes and a few other places. So long as you use a fuel additive with biocide and fire it up every so often you should be fine.
