thanks garbz...i need to find a way to replace the end of my bed[where the tail lights are at] so i can put a tailgate on...
You need to go in with CS65 and myself when we buy a parts pickup as you are in the area. I do not think either one of us want bed stuff. I know I want an aluminum grill, the interior door trim and panels and CS65 is looking for a 65 core support and some other misc stuff. It is just a thought for you. Send me your email and the next time CS65 and I are discussing a potential purchase we can include you in on it.
I have heard the same thing Billy...but I hear NY also has a heckuva mean pie too...as for the CL listing...the box is a 67-72 bumpside and the gate is a 73-9 dentside type....

That might be but there is no way you will ever catch me in the big apple. I guess I will have to stay at home and settle for some home made pizza from my wife.
If you are looking for bed parts for the truck in your gallery, you have a unique model. Your bed is the same design used from 1957-60. It was resurrected as a quick fix to the problem with the unibody design used from 61-63. Beginning in 64, a new bed matched the lines of the cab. This bed was also used on some 4x4s through 1965.

yes i know, me and numbersdummy have talked about that before...
what i was thinking of doing, is sort of like a bed bob i guess... but not exactly like that, but basically cut off everything behind the last stake post on a donor bed, and cut it on my truck and weld... im not really wanting to do an entire bed swap right now cause other then some rust at the front... and no original tail gates... this bed is in good shape for a possible forrmer farmtruck or wood getter...
A bed swap is way way way easier then cutting off the end then welding on a fresh one. The bed is bolted to the frame by 6 or 8 bolts. It took less time for me to take the whole body off my frame then to do a simple corner patch on a door skin.
