88 f150 5 speed manual tranny question

i have an 88 f150 manual 5 speed truck...... now the transmission blew up a couple days ago... well im looking at ordering a new tranny..... do i get a ZF or a Mazda tranny??? if u cant tell me... how can i tell the diference

The ZF has diagonal ribbing on the case, PTO covers on each side, and a granny first gear. The Mazda will have horizontal and vertical ribbing, no PTO covers, and a regular first gear. Most likely you have a Mazda transmission.
