Problem Child "03 6.0

I'm back with this diesel. I'm still having trouble with the truck sitting at idle and accelerating to around 1000 to1100 rpms all by its little lonesome. It will do it a couple of times then run fine. It may not do it for a day or two then it might do it every time you stop at a stop light. I can't get it to do it at the ford dealer. Also I have no power in first gear, once it shifts to 2nd it will sqeal the tires.

Any Ideas? I'm ready to jack the radiator cap up and put another truck under it!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your help.

ICP sensor, smart tech would know this just from you describing the problem. Probably the sensor has had an oil intrusion and the wires have become corrupted and sometimes they touch each other and thats when you get the rpm increase I think. My ICP is currently spewing massive amounts of oil so my truck is in getting that fixed.

I though there was a customer satisfaction recall on that. I remember them doing that on my 04, it had a late 03 engine build. They replaced the ICP and the wire connector going to it. Ofcourse they had the truck for 2 days to do it but thats another story. I agree with above that is a common problem and you should visit another dealer or make sure that there is a Ford Diesel Tech working on your truck.
