speed ometer is off

Can someone give me some pointers on how to adjust my speedometer since going to 35" tires. It seems to be pretty far off.

I think you need to reprogram your PCM.

You have a couple of options with getting your speedo redone. You can take it to the stealership and see how much they will charge you to do it or you can get a Superlift TruSpeed and do it yourself. I think the Superlift will run you around $200. You can also go to this website and OnlineConversion.com - Bigger Tires and see how far you are off and just remember that in the back of your mind while you drive.

Superlift Tru-Speed is your best bet. Two settings. 1 for oversized tires, the other for stock winter sized tires.

The dealership can do it for the cost of labor, by adjusting the signal that the ABS Module sends to the PCM. There is nothing to adjust in the PCM.......although the tranny will shift better, and at the proper time & speed once you get it adjusted right! Or........get the Tru-speed, it can do any size tires, the dealership can only do up to 35's....

Thumbs up

The Super lift is the best way to do this like High Octane. Said .I am using one now for 2years it has two settings so you can switch to two different size tires if you have a need to do so. the dealer can do it. I tried that way the first time they told me it would be about 90.00 dollars and every time you change tires it might be off a little or another 90.00 dollars The Super lift is about 200.00 and it is always there to change to different tire size when you are. I am glad I went the super lift way.

I recently bought and recalibrated my speedometer/odometer using the Hypertech Speed Recalibrator. Allows for tire/gear ratio changes. Works great. Also around $200 and is simple to do with no wiring. Reflashes the ABS module thru diagnostic port under the dash.
