I have lots of honey bees in the back yard and they seem to like flying around and landing on the side of the house. must be 4 or 5 dozen of them. Over the past couple days I noticed a few bees in the house, now the whole hive must be starting to swarm here. Maybe the'll decide to find another place soon. They're not aggressive but they make me uncomfortable and the kids are afraid of bees.
When a hive swarms it is usually due to a second queen making it out alive and taking some of the others with it in search of a new spot to start a hive. You sound like you have a hive in the wall and you need to deal with it. A local bee keeper would remove the bees once the hive is located and then you ned to clean out the honey & wax, repair your wall so it don't rot the wood in the wall.
Get some hemp rope and put it in a bucket and burn about 3-5 inches at a time they
will get all chilled out and just lay around and eat some honey and will be too stoned
to cause you any harm (peace man!!) Actually they will become subdued and they
will most likely decide they do not like their new digs due to the smoke and will move
on down the line. Becareful with them since there is a problem with honeybees and
they are disappearing and it is a scary thing. I think it was Einstein or another really
smart guy who said "If all bees were wiped off the earth the human race has 4 YEARS
left to live!!" Since they pollinate so much of the food crop and there really isn't a
manmade way to compete with their efficency we would watch as the food supply
dwindled and that isn't just vegetables since the plants that wild and domesticated
animals eat are also pollinated the meat supply also drops!!
If you can don't use any poison on the bees and even on wasps around the house
they really don't want to bite you!! The hemp rope or really any rope burning will
make them leave the area. I knew an old beekeeper and he said the hemp rope gets
them stoned and makes them calm and that is what all the old school beekeepers use
in those smoke cans.
they must have found greener pastures because they're gone baby gone. I went out and ran some errands and when I got back home only a few were still around, now they've all gone. The poor honey bees are in trouble, for past few years every time I see a honey bee it seems weak and disoriented, now a large group of them suddenly appearing in my yard for a few hours then moving on as if they are lost and are searching for the hive. I dont know whats normal behavior for a honey bee, maybe they do get lost and confused just like people.
One thing you need to watch out for is, they will make a hive inside your walls. I do insulating for a business and I have come across this a couple different times. If they do make a hive you will be forced to tear into your walls to get rid of them. An experienced bee keeper is a must have to get if they are still around.
