I know that I posted a forum about the troubles I am currently having now. Anyways, after I get the problems fixed, I am thinking about putting in some larger injectors and a slightly larger turbo, and possibly upgrading the fuel system, I am going to do alot of pulling next year and I would like to know what the best combos will be without running the EGT too hot while pulling my trailer and would like to keep the temp down in the comfortable zone, I will be pulling around 10k pounds. When not pulling, I would like to have some good MPG while driving back and forth to work and still have some capability to smoke some punk kids that thinks they have the ***** off of the road and leave them wondering what happened, heck I may even put on some smoke stacks, they will be 7" miter cuts done right Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I forwarded you an email from badbrad60 about some of the mods that he did to his truck to get some really good towing power. Also, tex25025 has done a lot of mods using Spartans equipment and he's pleased with the power. These two have the experience with the mods and so I would recommend talking to them. I'm thinking about doing the same power mods as badbrad60 has already done since I'm done with the ARP headstuds.
adambomb, I'm sorry, but I should've included you in that list too! I'm not sure how much you use your truck for towing, but you definitely have a sweet setup also!

Since you are towing quite a bit of weight, I would not go above Stage II performance injectors unless you think you'll be going with a twin turbo setup. My Stage I towing injectors have served me very well and I'm very pleased with them and you would be surprised how much fuel those things flow despite they are the first line of modified injectors that Spartan has.

I would not go above a 66mm non-vgt turbo and I would only go there if you have stage II's. I highly suggest my 64mm non-vgt turbo(good for 500 hp depending what injectors you get).

I would get the big system that FASS has(180/200 I believe now, mine was the biggest at the time I got it and get the 60 psi spring). I would also get ITP's Fuel Regulated Return kit. Even though the FASS is by nature a type of regulated return it does not prevent dead-heading that ITP's kit does. Might also want to consider studding the head and getting a fluidampner as well if you already haven't done the studs yet(depends on what type of problems you have).

My combination at 5% grade pulling around 15.5k(horses) my egt's will hold around 1200 on the pyro.

Best I've gotten mpg wise with my rig and all variables I have improved 2 full mpgs(using my horse tow tune) to 16.2. I know that doesn't sound like much, but my truck does put alot of demand on fuel so I'm happy with that.

The smoke that my rig left today while I was showing off with my hybrid race tune(I had a wild hair today and just had to enjoy myself) and it took a good 1 1/2 minutes for the smoke to clear after I gunned it. Like I said that is just with stage I injectors, no telling what it would be like with higher injectors.
Overall, I would say what I have in my signature is a very good tow setup and I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants good extra streetable horsepower without to badly breaking the bank. If there is anything specific that you want to ask, feel free to ask away.
