Installed a Day Time Running Light Conversion Kit
I installed a Turn Signal Daytime Running Light (DRL) kit in my '08 F-150 STX. I mounted the On/Off switch that has a red/green LED status light on the lower panel to the right of the steering column. The switch is accessible and the light is visible but not a distraction.
With the switch on, the turn signal filaments illuminate and the status light is green when the ignition switch is on. If the main light switch is in the parking lights or headlamps on position, the LED is red and the turn signal filaments extinguish and the parking light filaments illuminate.
With the DRL switch off, the status LED is red with the ignition on and the parking and turn signal operation returns to the stock configuration.
I probably can't post the photos but there are a couple in my gallery if you're interested.
