axle leaking now what?
well i just went outside and lookin at my truck lol and i found a little puddle of oil underneath my axle pig ive been noticeing its been gettin wetter around the cover has anyone else had this problem?? im hoping it aint my axle cover rusted out anyways what kinda of oil do i put in it b/c i remember reading somthing about if you dont put the right kind of oil in it it wont lock..... how many qts does it take?? any info would be great thanks..

You want to use a 75-140 synthetic in the rear end. The thing you're thinking of is the friction modifier that is required only if you have a limited slip diff. Some fluids like Royal Purple have the friction modifier built in so you don't have to worry about the additive.

Also, you might look for the new 08 diff cover, i think they are relatively innexpensive (around 60) and aluminum, and pretty from what ive seen. I prefer royal purple synthetic gear oil. Sorta a little more pricey, but its pretty nice stuff.
