Doing Intake (need Help)
Hey all, first off this is my first post and I just want to say this is my Bible.... anything and everything you need to know is here, So THANKS. I wouldnt be doing this intake MOD with out this forum. I had some dumb azz air shut off in my truck. So I took it out and I do not have any stock piping because it was all replaced with ??????
. So I am at a stand still til I get sorted and that needs to be ASAP. 6" lift on Sunday, NADP Heavey hauler tranny and all Guages on Mon so please help me make it work.
My main questions are:
what piping should I use right from turbo inlet. It has to be going up because the valve cover air deal thing is right there???
Can I just put one of those little breather filters (2-3") on the end of that breather box that is on the valve cover.Pics would be great I an not the greatest mechanic but I should be able to knock this one off.

It sounds like the crank case ventilation screen has been removed from the valve cover. I would probably try to get another one that is factory. It is just a little box with coarse brillo pad in it and then I would run a 3/4" hose form it to out back or just under the truck to ventilate. I prefer out back because sometimes it tends to smell.
Now for your intake. Get a rubber intake hose from the dealer that will adapt your turbo input to a 4" pipe. Then you get a 4" diameter exhaust pipe with a 45 degree bend in it and put a 6637 filter from NAPA on there. Look at my pics for the boot you need from the dealer. And don't let them sell you the whole "upgrade" kit you just need the boot. NAPA even sells the 4" 45* pipe you need so you won't have to find a shop to bend one.
Here is a flex pipe for ya (good)
18" Flex Pipe 18 p/n EXH 52123
They also sell a hard pipe (BEST option) but I can't find the p/n. Help, somebody???
