I hear you about the liquid gold. Hopefully, we will come to our senses and the high prices will back off. Since you are not driving it much, take the time to checkout all of our boards. That way you will have it ready to go and set up just the way you like it. Im having trouble with my 99 ford F-150 with a 4.6L.I pulled my camper a 34 foot survayor 6500lbs about 300 miles round trip. when i got home i stayed hooked up for 6 or 7 days cleaning things up. when i un hooked i backed out of the driveway and took it around the block country block that is . i had a loss in power and it was missing . i took it to advance auto i had them to cheak the battery and altanator they said alt going bad i took it to a guy that has rebuilt more starters and alt then you imagine my dad took his truck to him when i was littel. he cheaked battery then the alt .the alt was putting out 12.2 volts he said it should be 13 or higher. he told me the price to rebuild it i said do it. he said pick it up around 5:00pm . so i did . i live 20 miles from there about half way home it done it agin. When it starts to miss it starts to bust out higher the rpm's get. On my truck it has 4 plug per coil pack. So i changed both coil packs....Didnt fix it...So i changed the spark plugs. it smoothed it out some but still missin. So the next thing would be plug wires. i called Ford and they said 700$ so i called advance auto and the boot kits which each kit contains 2 boots a peice. For 4 boot kits is 30$,The wires them selves are 49$ so figure 80$ for it all. So i was really hopin sombody has had the same problem as me and could give me some advice.
