I have a Predator tuner that came with my 7.3 PSD Ex when I bought it. Despite the claims of improved mileage and power, I have found the following to be true:
Stock Mileage is 17.4; 60HP tune Mileage is 17.1; 85HP tune mileage is 14.7; 100HP tune mileage is 16.4.
I have been posting on DiabloSport Forum, and getting nowhere. As a matter of fact, some with the 7.3 have been waiting for over a YEAR to get it right. A lot of promises and attempted fixes that aren't right.
So, on 06/04, I sent an inquiry and info form to DP Tuner. Jody e-mailed me back within 2 hours. I wanted to have it in time for Fathers' Day, and he would have been able to pull it off. Finances were in question at the time, and I didn't order it. Jody CALLED on 06/11, just to follow up. This, my friends, is Customer Service.
I am waiting for a little piece of info back from Jody, then I will be ordering the tuner: N/S, stock, 60HP altitude tow, 80HP Economy, and 100HP Performance (This one is not needed, I explained to my wife, I WANT it!!)
Getting ready for a BIG road trip to Indiana, and all the stretching of MPG I can get, I will need!!
I can hardly wait!! Like a kid at Christmas!!!

Reason: OOPS!! It's 100HP Performance; Not 120.
Way to go Don. You will love this thing. But, the only thing I would do different is, I would drop the 100 tune because you will not be able to tell the difference in the 80e and 100. I would go with the 140. Like you said you don't need the 100, so why not need the 140 with the smoke factor.
More will chime in and congrat you on this purchase. Get ready for the Grinn.
I agree with Rick on the performance tune. You wouldn't see that much of a difference between the 80e and the 100. Go ahead and get the higher hp tune. I have the 120 race and see an improvement over the 80e and thinking of adding the 140 when I reburn for my trans mods.
Congrats on the upcoming DP Tuner! I agree with getting either the 120 or the 140 instead of the 100hp. Too close to notice the difference. I would also DEFINITELY get either a John Wood Valve body, or a BTS Valve body, both are great additions to your tranny, and will prolong the life of it for sure! I would say most on here have the BTS....I personally have the JWVB and couldn't be happier! Keep us posted!
Thanks for the input; it is GREATLY appreciated. The valve body will be a "to-do", as we are looking at a few grand for the vacation. I e-mailed Jody, and I'm awaiting his input. I will keep the forum posted as I progress.

Thanks again!
One thing I didn't mention......is the valve body is setup for the DP Tuner if you let them know, and vice versa! Make sure you tell Jody you plan on getting one, and he will setup the DP accordingly. The shifting with the DP is sah-weeeeeeeet!

Travis:
And if the valve body doesn't happen for a few months, what happens????
You need to have the VB before you tune the DP to it. If it's going to be a while, I would wait to tune the DP. Your trans will not shift right if you have a VB tuned DP without the VB installed.
