Wifey bought me a DashMat for our anniversary (June 7) and it showed up today. I've gotta say my old 95 had one and I liked it a lot, which is why I wanted one for the SD but I'm less than impressed with this one. The holes for the vents line up better than my old 95, but it seems to me like it comes too far off the front of the dash. I just put it in tonight and I'm going to give it a while before I make a final judgement call on the fit, but so far not completely impressed. Anyone have photos of their truck with a DashMat in there, and what do you think of it?
I have the DashMat brand.....but no pics of it. It's been awhile......but I think it fit alot better after it was in there for a few days. It sort of had to settle into the molding of the dash, before the velcro held it in place very good. All my vents line up on top of the dash and in front....
Mine is a DashMat brand, the reason I put it in was to keep the dash glare off the windshield which bugs me from time to time. I'm hoping with time it will settle in better, and that they hadn't cut it so large. I'll snap a photo or two tonight when I get home.
Like I said in my first post, my main gripe is that it seems like it comes too far toward the seat on the dash, but maybe that's the way they are made on the SD.
Chase.......I think that one isn't made very well, mine never looked that "off" even when it was freshly unrolled outta the box. I will try to take a pic of mine in the morning for ya, so you know how it's supposed to fit after it settles down

That would be good, thanks. I'm thinking I might drive my truck to work so that it sits out in the sun for the day, maybe it will help the DashMat conform to the dash? This particular mat is the "signature series" and with DashMat being such a large company and around for so long I would expect them to have a quality product. The vent holes line up great (which was a problem with my old 95) but some of the other details seem a tad off.
Hopefully Travis remembers his photo. I wouldn't be happy either Chase. That just looks wrong. It doesn't look like it even fits your instrument gauge.
Remember even good companies have problems from time to time. I'd suggest you send those photos to dashmat and get their response. They may agree with you and ship out a replacement.
