Just had 6 Bilstiens installed! What a difference. The old shocks were tanked, and I thought the truck rode pretty good. All I can say is wow! Now she rides like a dream. What do you all think of my set-up?
Nice looking truck!! How much did 6 of them cost? Everybody has nice clean and shiny trucks! Got to wash and wax mine sometime, but I live on a long dirt lane don't last very long!!
Thanks for the compliments fellas. Kris, I love my Road Ventures, and funny thing is my trailer that I haul has RV AT's on it when I bought it, so they almost match perfectly. Check my gallery for pics on that. And Travis, yes they are the 5150's. Ronnie, the shocks were $124 each and the pro comp mount kit was $329 if I recall. Not bad for buying Canadian. I buy most of my stuff from the good ole USA cause the damn prices are so hard to beat. You guys have no idea how good you got it down there when trying to buy trucks, truck parts, and hunting stuff! Sometimes half the cost from what it is up here!
I run a business here and buy a lot of stuff from US distributors. I always pass on my savings from current exchange rates to my customers. I think a lot of business' here take advantage of so called exchange rates, brokerage fees and customs/duty charges to run prices up. I mean I priced out a Ford License plate holder for our trucks on a Ford US website for $15, went to my local dealer and the price was $35. They also wanted $6 for the plastic rivets to mount the plate holder to the bumper! I guess we should all be buying Ford Canada stock, cause they are definately making some serious money.
