I have a 2000 Expy that has 186,000mi. on it. The driver side lock swicth does not work and the drivers side back door lock seems sluggish in response to the wireless key and the other switches. does anyone have any ideas and how tough is it to fix? Thanks fitzy67
A schematic would be helpful, but might not be necessary. Pull the switch panel and start doing some voltage checks. Are the inputs present?
No: check fuses and relays
Yes: move on to the output side of the switch
Is the output side present?
No: replace switch
Yes move on to the door lock actuator solenoid
Is voltage present at the solenoid when switch is pressed?
No: check the wiring harness for an open or a faulty connector
Yes replace the solenoid
I would backprobe the test points
