Door panels on Excursion

I assume by looking at the door panels on my Excursion that there are no screws or bolts, just friction type fasteners. Can anyone verify that before I break something? After spending over $40,000 for the truck, the dealer is useless.

I assume that you are talking about the front doors. I also assume they are identical to the front doors on my CC. Your need to pop off the placstic cover that the window, lock and mirror controls are in. You wil see a bolt here that needs to be taken out. Next there is a light or reflector on the bottom that needs to be popped off. there is also a bolt here as well. Next the door lifts off the plastic connectors. Go to the Super/Heavy duty forum. There is a thread about new TT mirrors. one of the reply's has a link to a .pdf file on the net that goes into great detail with pictures describing the removal of the door panel.

Good Luck

Murph

Thanks for the help. Everything worked out fine. Sure was easier than those pop off panels they used to use.
