'05 Auto Center-shift problems
I have an '05 and when shifting from Park to Drive it is really rough and noisey and then even when shifting from reverse to drive it is rough getting it to move. It does move but very noisy almost like the shift rails mechanism is dry. Are there any lube points to lubricate the locking unit (the guides) and rails? I had the transmision flushed and that did not resolve the problem. I am about ready to remove the center console and dig in. Nobody has a Haynes manual in stock to purchase and I have ordered it but still waiting for it to arrive. Leaving next Thursday for a meeting in Michigan and don't want anything to "lockup" while traveling. Any ideas???
