Question how do I fix this?

On my 96 f 350 where the small front rubber body mounts are (behind the front bumper)the steel is all rotted really bad.So bad that both the right and left mounts are not going to have any steal to hold them on soon. The steel is so bad I could rip off with my hands with a hard pull if i had to.what would be the best way to fix this?I know the rotted steal has to be cut out but where can I get the steel like ford has on there?you know same shape and size.not really sure how to tackle this one.

making a small patch pannel shouldnt be that hard, it can be done with the right tools, and even done very uh ghetto if you have to, you can get sheets of steel which would work fine just pick the right thickness you need, compareablt to what the original was, then just weld up the patch pannels, primer, paint done maybe post some pics of what your talking about cause im not sure exactly what you mean, you could always have some make the patch pannel for you too

It sounds like he's talking about the core support. If you can pull the grill and headlights, you might be able to get to the support, then take the bolt out and remove the bushings. Cut the rusted parts out and make a small patch plate for each side, and weld in. Or if you are not much of a welder, just buy a new core support and replace it.
