Does anybody know where i can get a cold air intake kit for my2008 F-250 Superduty 6.8 litre v-10 all i see everywhere is the kit for 6.4 litre diesel,K&N doesn't make one,Wow i can't believe it!!!
I believe some changes were made to the 08' trucks. I know the 08' 3V gassers got a new spark plug redesign. Havn't seen or heard of a kit out for the 08' however you MAY be able to make an 05'-07' kit work. FWIW an aftermarket intake won't do much power wise, just a tad more intake noise, slightly better throttle response and a hp or two up high in rpms. I have the K&N FIPK2 on my 04'.
Alone it's a good start. Even if you can't find a K&N, there are other's out there that are pretty good, such as Volant, s&B, Airaid (you have to watch the airaid kits not all come with air boxes), AFE, ect.
Try looking for a predator "ram air thing". Its supposed to allow colder air to get to your intake. You cut a hole in some plastic and it mounts behind your grill. Not sure if there are any real world gains but it looks like it would be helpful. Good luck on your cold air intake and make sure you get one with a really good filter. From what i have read in the diesel segment all aftermarket filters are junk but we have a turbo to protect so filtration is more of a concern.
