the only thing i can think of is a plastic side and rubber floor bed liner, i cant come up with the name of it but it comes in 5 parts and you put it together yourself, but its not a roll-on its more of a drop in...what do you need a soft liner for as aposed to a hard one?
Yeah, most people want a hard liner......the only thing I can think of is maybe for holding stuff in place...but I don't think a rubbery liner would do that good of a job......
the bed line i was thinking of is a Duel Liner, each side and the front and tail gate are all seprate parts and the floor is a rubber no slide rubber deal, it comes in a box about 2/3 feet tall 1 foot wide and about 8 for long bed or 6 for short bed, feet long.
I want the softer more rubber like liner because the dogs are always in the back. . .I figured with a liner that they would have better grip (pluss it will hide all the scratches and dings in the truck bed!!!) but with all of the hard liners it's more like anti-skid or tread fast stuff. . .super abrasive. . .I don't want a super abrasive liner for the dogs feet or for the stuff that I'm putting in the back of my truck.
I think that the Line-X spray in liners are a softer more rubbery liner. . .I know that all of my friends trucks that have done the spray in liners have been a softer, grippier, textured rubber. . .that's what I would like. . .I was just hoping that it would be available in a DIY kit vs. paying to have someone spray it in
I have Line-X in the dually and Herculiner in the Bed and the floorboard of the Kubota RTV. The Line-X is definately alot harder than the Herculiner. I just went out and checked after reading this post. Also remember this stuff is black, even in the winter it can be very hot on a dogs pads.
I know that I've felt a spray-in bedliner before that was kind of rubbery vs. really freaking hard. . .we've got either the Duplicolor or the Herculiner stuff on the utility racks of our ATV's and yeah the stuff is really durable but it's also a super knuckle buster!!!
Does anyone know which spray in liner is the rubbery stuff? Is it Rhino Liner? I don't think it would be because Rhino Liner is the same material as Line-X according to their websites.
Don't they have rubberized undercoating, i think its soft it was under my bronco from the previous owner i think it comes in a spray can or something like that
I had "Pro liner" sprayed in my toyota about 4 years ago. There were 3/4" holes in the bed rails that were taped under and sprayed over. Where the holes are is still flexible and hasn't faded much. That's pretty good in FL. It's fairly smooth too. I'm going to have the Ranger done with the same stuff.
I think your looking for the Rhino liner for the 'rubbery' feel, it's thicker than Line-X and softer. My Dad has it in hi dually and you can dig your fingernail in it a little but can't tear or cut it, it's supposed to keep stuff from sliding around as much as Line-X does. I don't know what kind of roll-on will replicate it though. If you find one please post it here, I'd like to know too.
