radio

Does any one know how to get your stock radio to scan for sirius signals.I have an 07 6cd in dash stereo and i want to add sirius to it with out using that add on face plate.I know i will need a sirius antenna but how can i make it so its intergarted like on the 08s.I have an 08 with the same lookin stereo and it has the sync with sirius and the usb port.Is there an external part that i can hook up to the aux botton on the factory radio or is all that really built in to the stereo unit itself.sorry if a little confusing as i myself are a little confused . thanks

Check this out, I think it is what you are looking for. It plugs into the back of your stereo and is controlled through the stereo:

i figured after i posted my message that maybe i should do more research instead of waiting around. After 2 hours of talkin to several techs form sirius ,various ford part depts,i got the # for United Radio in ny.I was told ,by the ford parts guy, that they are a company ford sends radios to for repair or diagnostics. After talkin to a few techs i got a salesman that had the exact kit i wanted. He knew exactly what i needed and he knew what he was talkin about too, everyone else i talked to didnt have a clue even the tech at sirius who tried to sell me a kit for a gm.It cost $ 299 for everything, shipped next day for free.i am getting it tommorow which means i will install tommorow.Ill post back w/ results

I got the parts in on fri and installed in the afternoon. It took a total of 20 mins to install. What took the longest was routing the ant and finding a spot in my car( not alot of room in new cars behind the glove box)to mount the network box.The kit was a network box that had a ford label on it , a new wiring harness that plugs in (no splicing) and the antenna.Work s awesome and the wifes happy, which we all know means im happy.
